Wedding Pictures!

 The wedding pictures are here!! My sister, Allie, is visiting me this weekend and she brought the cd of wedding photos! I am so happy with them! I knew I would be....she is amazing! Turns out Chucky and I are really cute! Hahaha!!!

Happy Birthday Chucky!

  Last Friday (May 3rd) was Charles' (aka Chucky's) birthday! He turned the big 25! After work that day I brought him dinner and we enjoyed a nice evening at home. On Saturday we met his mom, dad, sister and cousin to go see the move Iron Man 3! It was really good! Chucky is all about super heroes, video games, and action movies so this, of course, was his first choice of movies! Last year we saw the movie The Avengers on his birthday! I have to say I was surprised to find action\super hero movies that I like! It just goes to show you that when you love someone so much and spend so much time with someone you will find that you can actually get into some of their interests!
  After the movie we ran home to take care of the animals.....and I took a tiny little snooze....ok so Chucky took care of the animals all by himself and I snoozed! Any way...when they were good we met the crew at Applebee's and had a delicious dinner! When everyone was sufficiently stuffed we went and walked around a flea market a few doors down. Overall it was a wonderful day for my man! I just want to say happy birthday to the most amazing husband I know! I love you so much baby! I hope you had a wonderful day! :)

Grandma Wolf

  Not only have I been dealing with shingles but my Grandma Wolf (my mom's mom) had a valve replaced a week from last Tuesday. We knew this was a big deal but we were hoping she was going to recover quickly. This definitely did not happen, unfortunately. She has had a very rough time and many highs and lows. Since all of this is in Indy and all of my family is from Evansville this has been even more difficult. Several of my aunts have been up here since the surgery and it is wearing on everyone! I have been trying to get to the hospital as much as I can but with my shingles (where I cannot touch my grandma) and this week at work has been crazy with very late days. We have no doubt that she will be ok...this is just a very frustrating roller coaster. It is hard to watch her this weak and to be in this much pain. It upsets us all. We are trying our best to keep an upbeat and positive attitude. My grandma is the strongest and most amazing woman I know. She is the mother of thirteen and unfortunately she had to do most of the child rearing because when my grandpa was alive he was working all of the time and he passed at a young age. She has been through so much and never panics, always remains calm and is the corner stone of our family. We love you Grandma!

Shingles

  Coming back from the honeymoon for us was more than a reality check! We were pummeled with stress and madness! The Thursday of our honeymoon I had a spot show up on my forehead that looked and felt like a mosquito bite. When Saturday rolled around I had a few more bumps all right there on my forehead. On Sunday all hell broke loose! My face became a huge swollen festering mess of a disease of some sort! It hurt so much and I was miserable. Charles went to CVS and got me some Benadryl and Hydrocortizone cream to try and help me. I was taking Ibuprofen because my whole right side of my face was swollen. I had also developed a patch on the top of my head.
  After a long and painful day of work I went to the Immediate Care facility with Charles. The doctor didn't know what it was and put me on some antibiotic. After a few days it got a little bit better but I was still a ton of pain. My right eye was really affected by this and even bright lights made it tear up like I was crying. By Thursday I had had enough and we went back to the doctor. This time, before I even said anything, he mentioned Shingles. My aunts and friend thought it was shingles from the very beginning but I was trying to trust my doctors! He put me on a new antibiotic and gave me some pain medicine. This doctor was definitely right! After just a day on his medicine I started feeling much better and my diseased forehead began to dry up.
   Shingles has been one of the most painful experiences of my life! I had massive gallbladder attacks that put me in the ER but this was worse! Such intense headaches and pain....just on my right side! I am thankful that I have insurance so I was able to get the medical help I needed. It was horrible and I suggest to all of you out there to get a Shingles shot!!! I pray that none of you get this painful nasty disease!

I know I look terrible but look at how swollen my right side (which is on the left) of my face is! Even my lymph nodes in front of my right ear were super swollen!
